Learning and Growing Together within the Love of God
Faith Flourish Fulfilment
The Christian ethos encompasses the whole of our school community and is reflected in our monthly Values. These values thread through the whole school curriculum and enable every child to develop as a moral, social, spiritual and cultural human being. Every child, whatever their background, will be valued as a unique child of God, and will be enabled to grow in confidence and self-belief.
The Good Samaritan is our school parable to model the importance of community and that we should think of others before ourselves. The second commandment of ‘Love Thy Neighbour’ is also prominent at Wenlock to encourage pupils and staff to serve each other and the local and global community.
All children are encouraged to show responsibility and to think of others as well as themselves. We have an active School Council, Prayer Leaders, Eco Warriors and children are invited to work in the school office at lunchtimes which allows children to play an important part in developing our school.
Our monthly values are firmly embedded as a key structure of our curriculum. These monthly values are embedded in all area of school life, as we support our children to become spiritual reflective learners.
Growing Together, Thankfulness, Courage, Joy, Respect, Love, Forgiveness, Hope, Friendship, Peace, Wisdom
We aim to excite and interest our pupils so that they become independent learners who develop the confidence and skills to take responsibility for their own learning. We work together to provide a supportive yet challenging education within the love of God, that engages all children. We recognise that our pupils are unique children of God whose lives are enriched by their home life and culture, alongside the lessons they learn at our school. Together we work to create a school of happy. confident children who develop habits of good learning and citizenship that will last a lifetime.
