Hi, we are your Family Workers and our role is to provide advice, support and guidance to families and children, in whatever way we can. Working in partnership with the school we aim to engage, encourage and equip parents and families to improve the outcomes of their children.
We will do this through developing activities on the things that are important to families and children. As well as organising group activities our role is also to offer support on a one to one basis on anything that a family may need support or advice with.
Our role includes:
Supporting children with their transition to Wenlock Junior as well as their move to high school.
Organising a range of activities from drop-ins to adult learning courses.
Providing one to one support.
Home visiting.
Providing information to families on agencies that will be able to support them, and if needed support them with making contact.
Family support
Providing general advice
Listening to parents views and opinions
If there is anything that you would like to talk to us about or if there is anyway that we can support you, please do not hesitate to contact us, even if it’s just to say hello…we would love to talk with you!
We can be contacted at school in person or by phoning us on 730624. We can also be found on the playground at the beginning and end of each school day.
