St Anne's - The Local Church

Since Wenlock is a Church of England School, links with local churches are an important feature in its life. St Anne’s Parish Church, on the corner of Crawley Green Road and Hart Lane, is the nearest one to the school and is one of two parish churches within the ecclesiastical Parish of St Anne with St Christopher.

The parish is involved in many ways, both in seeking to support the school in its everyday activities and supplying three members to the governing body as well as the vicar who has that role as part of his job.

St Anne’s has a building that is dual-purpose, and so is as used as a traditional church, a place where local organisations can meet (both church-based and private clubs), and has halls that can be hired, say for children’s parties. The most important function we see for the church building is to be a centre for spiritual life in the local community.

Main Sunday services at St Anne’s are at 11am and 6pm.
